LWO representatives at the RKI-Forum Russia 2023

Vladimir Komisarenko, LWO Deputy Director for Information Security Projects, spoke in his report about the harmonization of regulatory and legal regulation of electronic signatures in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus in order to ensure international electronic interaction. The event was held on September 12-14 in St. Petersburg.
The topic is relevant and aroused great interest during the discussions. The report suggested possible ways of harmonization and identified the tasks that need to be solved for this. First of all, the coordination of terminology. Next, achieving equivalence of safety requirements and applying uniform approaches to conformity assessment. It was noted that the most important thing is to achieve maximum user convenience and a sufficient level of security when exchanging legally significant electronic information using an electronic signature in the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
The XXI International Conference on Public Key Infrastructure and electronic Signature “RKI-Forum Russia 2023” is a unique international platform that addresses the most pressing issues of electronic signature and public key infrastructure, cryptographic information protection, electronic legally significant document management – all that has already become an integral part of the business processes of all branches of government and business and citizens. Among the participants of the conference are representatives of certification centers, international organizations, government authorities, private enterprises, financial organizations, vendors, electronic document management operators and scientific institutes.
This year, the forum’s program is very rich, with dozens of thematic sections and round tables. Among the relevant topics of discussion are issues of cross-border recognition of electronic signatures; issues of providing domestic certificates for signature verification keys; interoperability of mobile/remote signature solutions with various information systems; standardization in the field of electronic document formats.
For more than 20 years of its existence, PKI-Forum Russia has become an important and reputable platform for solving urgent industry problems.
