The history of DADOMU.BY began in 2012 when a group of activists from an online forum organized a petition calling for the creation of an informational resource. The goal was to publish detailed profiles and photographs of children in need of families

The Project’s Beginnings
The initiative to create DADOMU.BY was supported by the primary organization of the Belarusian Women’s Union. Following this, technical specifications were drafted for the development of a unified informational portal, including guidelines for its operation within the Belarusian segment of the internet. The company LWO developed the platform and continues to maintain and support it to this day
Civic Social Responsibility
Ordinary citizens played a crucial role in shaping the portal—people who firmly believe that raising children is a family matter. Many of them were young individuals concerned about the future of their country, understanding how vital it is for every person to have a family and a home. These supporters voted on social media to choose the portal’s name, proposed logo designs, and even donated their personal digital cameras to orphanages and children’s shelters
