Project for the Belarusian Railway – ticket sales system for trains with unnumbered seats through self-service terminals, the Internet, and mobile devices

A conceptual project for the development of electronic ticket sales and the improvement of the railway transportation ticketing system. Creation of a unified domestic, centralized, multi-channel, full-featured system for managing the reservation, sale, and control of travel documents

Stages and Implementation Timeframes:

  1. Development of the concept and technical specifications
    Implementation period: 3 months

  2. Development and implementation of a stationary hardware-software complex for ticket sales “Stationary BPM”
    Implementation period: 13 months

  3. Development and implementation of a portable hardware-software complex for ticket sales “Portable BPM” – OPE
    Implementation period: 3.5 months

  4. Development and implementation of a ticket sales system using self-service terminals, the Internet, and mobile devices
    Implementation period: 5 months

Functions of the stationary ticket office:

Full cycle of operations for issuing and selling travel documents
Printing of travel documents
Interaction with POS terminals
Acceptance of payments via QR codes
Issuance of smart cards
Maintenance of cash register reports
Maintenance of station reports
Fiscal accounting
Providing information on train schedules

Functions of the mobile ticket office:

Full range of operations for issuing and selling travel documents
Printing of travel documents
Acceptance of payments by bank card
Acceptance of payments via QR codes
Reading and writing of smart cards
Verification of the validity of electronic tickets
Cash register reporting and fiscal accounting

Project results:

Development and implementation of a central server for ticket sales accounting, integrated with stationary and portable ticket printing machines, and self-service terminals
Development and implementation of a software suite that supports the Electronic Travel Document technology
