A resident of the Hi-Tech Park, LWO has introduced LProc \u2014 the first domestic payment card processing solution developed entirely on open-source platforms, using a microservices architecture, the modern PostgreSQL DBMS, and the high-performance Apache Kafka data\u2011exchange bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system has already been largely deployed and currently serves more than one million cards and over 500 ATMs at OJSC \u201cBelinvestbank\u201d. For context, there are only about five payment processing software solutions in Russia and only a few dozen worldwide. Most of them were developed in the last century and rely on outdated technologies. Belarusian developers have joined a select group of companies capable of creating highly complex, top-tier technologies for the financial sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new software suite provides a full cycle of payment card operations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Card issuance<\/strong> \u2013 issuance of new cards, their activation, and management<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Acquiring<\/strong> \u2013 acceptance of payments in stores and online<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Clearing <\/strong>\u2013 settlements between banks and merchants<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf ATM management<\/strong> \u2014 full ATM functionality and maintenance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Processing of authorization<\/strong> requests in accordance with ISO 8583<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also meets the following key requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Security <\/strong>\u2013 compliance with the international PCI DSS standard for the protection of cardholder data<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Integration <\/strong>\u2013 the ability to integrate with other banking systems via APIs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Compliance<\/strong> with the requirements of international payment systems (primarily Belkart and the National Payment Card System)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within a relatively short period of time, the company has built a team of experts in this financial domain, mastered technologies related to import substitution, and, as a result of this coordinated effort, developed a modern software product that may be of interest to both domestic and foreign banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development of LProc was made possible by the policy pursued by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus in information security and is in line with Resolution No. 1074 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated December 31, 2024, \u201cOn the Concept for Ensuring the Sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus in the Field of Digital Development until 2030.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is further confirmation of the high level of Belarusian IT specialists and of the ability of the Hi-Tech Park to create complex, world-class domestic technological solutions. The emergence of a national processing solution strengthens the technological independence of the financial sector of the Republic of Belarus and lays the foundation for the further development of digital banking services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
