In February 2026, the Republic of Belarus launched its first national pilot project in digital transformation of the water supply and sewerage sector (WSS), using an AI module. The project\u2019s customer is the State Enterprise \u201cVodokanal-Slonim\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is being implemented within the framework of the national digital development strategy of the Republic of Belarus and is aimed at creating a replicable digitalization model for subsequent scaling across the country\u2019s water sector enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EIAS BTF AQUACerebrum is a system representing a digital twin of a process engineer expert and providing automated and\/or autonomous control of biological wastewater treatment processes in 24\/7 autonomous mode (without direct human involvement). The platform implements technology for deep removal of biogenic elements, enabling a significant increase in environmental safety and resource efficiency of treatment facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Implementation of the system at a facility results in reduced energy consumption at the most energy-intensive stages (blower stations, etc.), lower energy consumption per unit of removed pollutants, savings in costly reagents, increased efficiency of biogenic element removal, compensation for shortages of highly qualified personnel, maximum mitigation of the consequences of design and construction errors in treatment facilities, and ensures reliability, efficiency, and safety of technological processes. The system is in line with import substitution policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The development is based on a synthesis of fundamental scientific knowledge, advanced engineering solutions, and the long-term practical experience of LWO and its team in implementing digital control systems at water supply and sewerage facilities in the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The capabilities and advantages of the platform were demonstrated at the \u201cDigital Vodokanal. Identification of Key Development Areas, Challenges and Solutions\u201d industry seminar organized by the State Production Association \u201cBelvodokanal\u201d.
