L’BRUS – Information and Accounting System

L’BRUS is an information and accounting system designed to provide comprehensive support for corporate business: for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. The system automates the core business processes of a modern large bank and integrates with remote banking systems, while supporting the accounting and control of banking transactions, document management, and reporting.

Functional capabilities

Single Client Dossier

  • Client profile management: adding new clients; viewing and editing client records; convenient search; viewing the bank’s assets and liabilities associated with the client
  • Client questionnaire management: scanning, storing, viewing, editing, and deleting paper-based client questionnaires; storing decisions made by the bank’s responsible officer regarding further actions in relation to the client and the time frames
  • Maintaining a list of the client’s founders (legal entities and individuals): adding, editing, and deleting founder information; maintaining information on each founder’s ownership interest and status; closing founder records
  • Risk assessment: based on the client profile (legal entity or individual entrepreneur), types of client transactions, and geographical factors; calculation of the client’s overall risk rating
  • Electronic storage within the client profile of signature specimen cards for the client’s key authorized persons

Service Packages for Legal Entities

  • Service package directory: maintaining the bank’s tariffs; configuring fees under cash management service agreements and the corresponding master accounts used to record such fees, enabling clients to select the most suitable package of services
  • Fee calculation: adding clients and cash management service agreements; assigning service packages and additional banking transactions by front-office staff when agreements are concluded
  • Fee statement: generating and printing statements of accrued interest and fees, automatically generating and sending payment documents for the calculated amounts

Cash Management Services

  • Full lifecycle management of on-balance-sheet and off-balance-sheet analytical accounts (opening, editing, and closing accounts; placing holds, setting up overdrafts, and blocking accounts), managing master and interim accounts; accounting for balances on closed personal accounts and advances for business travel and other urgent needs; generating account statements and processing cash collection operations
  • Maintaining document registers and processing individual and batch transactions (payment, payment rejection, transfer, withdrawal, penalty accrual and payment); preparing data for the republican offset procedure and recording its results; and automatically reflecting off-balance-sheet account transactions in real time

Remote Banking Services

  • Agreement management: adding, completing, editing, cancelling, and deleting remote banking service agreements and the associated client accounts
  • Payment processing: creating and receiving payment documents and applications, exchanging messages, and transmitting account statements between the bank and the client

Domestic and Foreign Currency Transfers

  • Stream scanning: recognition and validation of payment document details, followed by automatic upload, posting, and processing of the document in the system
  • Preparation for SWIFT transmission: receipt, control, execution, and posting of foreign-currency payment documents to balance-sheet accounts, with SWIFT messages generated and transmitted
  • Use of digital signatures: electronic approval and signing of documents to ensure secure document workflow, user authentication, and integrity of details

Lending to Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs

  • Maintaining loan agreements (including multi-currency agreements), collateral agreements, guarantees issued and received, and credit indebtedness limits, including extensions and overdue status
  • Calculation of reserves under loan agreements, off-balance-sheet accounting, claims management, debt restructuring, submission of information to the credit bureau, and preparation of the loan portfolio and other reports

Deposit Agreements for Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs

  • Deposit agreement and addendum management (adding, editing, and closing agreements), including multiple agreements for a single legal entity under one personal account, with aggregated deposit data imported from external systems
  • Amendment of deposit terms (interest rate, amount, type, and term), calculation of interest expense, preparation of accounting instructions, and generation of reporting forms and payment documents for accrued expenses

Foreign Trade Agreements (FEA)

  • Agreement management: adding, opening, closing, and deleting client records; assigning a client to another responsible officer; searching for clients; entering, editing, and deleting foreign trade transaction data
  • Payment processing: working with Form 2209 templates (2209/1-7) and preparing reconciliation control statements

Charitable Aid Accounts

  • Maintaining certificates and foreign gratuitous aid distribution plans, accounting for funds received in client accounts, and processing the corresponding payment documents
  • Generating reports on the provision of gratuitous aid to the National Bank (Forms 1044 and 1045) and a statement recording the use of gratuitous aid

Front Office

Exchange of messages, files, and scanned documents between the front office and back office: document search, printing, and document processing (acceptance for processing, execution, rejection, and assignment to a responsible officer)

Interaction with External Systems

  • Analytics system: daily automated transmission of transaction and account data for comprehensive analysis of banking operations and client service efficiency
  • Client-Bank system: uploading and format/logic validation of payment documents, automatic assignment of documents to responsible officers, and processing of client requests for account status information
  • Payment management system: generation, transmission, and control of electronic payment documents; requests for information on correspondent account and payment flow status, document monitoring and reconciliation
  • Accounting for and transmission to the retail banking system of information on income received from abroad for subsequent accounting purposes

Programmatic Processing of Documents (STP)

  • System configuration: setting automatic batch-closing parameters, configuring the number of processing threads, scheduling the processing engine, and working with control maps
  • Automated document processing: creating STP batches by responsible officer, monitoring balances and payment processing deadlines, and automatically closing batches based on time or document-count thresholds
  • Operator processing of documents: signing closed STP-processed batches and generating reports and statistics on processed documents

Daily and Regulatory Reporting

Generation of a wide range of daily and regulatory reports and statements covering balances and account turnover, lending operations, deposits, document registers, account statements, audits, foreign trade transactions, loan portfolio structure, financial performance, and other areas of the bank’s operations

Electronic Archive

Preparation and export of balance-sheet payment documents and reports to the electronic archive, with generation of an inventory file for the exported documents
